Born in Philadelphia and raised in Georgia and Texas, Dr. Camila Albo earned her undergraduate degree in Health Science Studies from Baylor University. She went on to receive her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and completed her ophthalmology residency at UT Health San Antonio, where she also completed her internship in internal medicine and was recognized with an Outstanding Intern Award.
Dr. Albo has a strong research focus, with multiple publications and presentations at national meetings. She was invited to present her team’s work on outcomes of EVO Implantable Collamer Lenses at the 2024 AAO Refractive Surgery Subspecialty Day and was recognized with the Gordon Award for Excellence in Presentation at the annual Alamo City Ophthalmology Clinical Conference. She has also participated in the CEDARS/ASPENS Mentorship Program and was selected as a YoungMD Connect Ambassador.
Dr. Albo is passionate about delivering personalized, high-quality care, with a focus on achieving the best possible visual outcomes for her patients. She is excited to serve patients in the Cleveland community with a collaborative and compassionate approach and is committed to continuous growth in both her surgical skills and patient care.
Dr. Albo is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys traveling, weightlifting, scuba diving, watercolor painting, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
