Jeffrey M. Augustine is a native Ohioan and Brecksville High School graduate who earned his BS in Biology from the University of Dayton before attending the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. To enhance his expertise, he completed his optometry residency at the Cleveland VA Medical Center and pursued specialized training through a fellowship at the Newman Eye Institute in DeLand, Florida, focusing on optometric vision correction surgery clinical management.
Before LASIK was even approved in the United States, Dr. Augustine’s commitment to vision correction surgery leadership was evident—he traveled to China with Dr. Robert Wiley to further expand his knowledge and clinical skills.
Dr. Augustine has devoted his entire career to the perioperative optometric management of vision correction surgery patients. Over two decades, he has managed thousands of patients and authored several influential articles on optometric management of vision correction surgery outcomes. He continues to lecture throughout the United States and remains active in clinical research projects.
Dr. Augustine has been with ClearChoice Custom since the practice opened in 1998. He describes his favorite days at work as those when he gets to celebrate clear vision with his patients.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Augustine enjoys mountain biking, motocross, snowboarding, and golfing. He is most proud of his children: Courtney, Taylor, Mason, and Isabella.
